2004 A6 2.6T - cranking but no start

New to the Audi forums. My son drives this car and is at college, (3 hours away) which has had sub-zero wind chills for the past 12 days. Car cranks but does not start. He has tried jumping it, and no start. He went out again tonight to tried to start it and the Low Oil Light came on and believe the EPC and Check engine light came on. I sent him back out to verify.

Any input much appreciated. Simply trying to get it started so we can either run and have the codes checked or drive it directly to a nearby Audi dealer. Attached a picture as well.

It could be a number of things, but could be bad fuel pump, bad crank position sensor, broken timing belt, among others.

Judging by the low fuel light, he could be out of gas.

Your next step would be to get VCDS and report codes.

Probably a tow to an independent shop that knows Audis.

1. He doesn't know how much gas he has or when he last put gas in it?
2. He doesn't know how to check the oil level with the dipstick? All C5s have dipsticks.

Very good! Think horses, not zebras!
