Its crept up on me recently, but just got back from 2 weeks in the UK driving a Passat TDi and noticed how heavy the Audi one is getting.
Also noticed that my left foot hurts from the effort of pressing the clutch!

A comment....
You might check to see if you need a flywheel(hot spots, cracks, or oil exposure to the flex section) as well. Also, make sure the rear main seal . output flange seal and guide sleeve are in decent shape.
LUK parts are terrible, you might comtemplate a Sachs Kit.

Def a good deal...but are the parts worth buying? I dunno...
...but I hope so. I think I may need one soon too. Contemplating going w/ the RS4 pkg, though. I guess it depends on how soon it goes.
BTW, Sachs didn't have a very good name back when I had my GTI. Not sure if there's a difference b/t the VW & Audi parts, but the 1.8T crowd was overwhelmingly NOT in favor of their clutches.

There are a number of different oem manufacturers.....
LUK is just one of then unfortunately. By the way, LUK components are also garbage on Porsche as well(wish they would give them up). There are Valeo, Sachs, etc.
Bad flywheels can be from oil leaking on it or poor quality as well. Those dual-mass flywheels are as heavy as can be. They need to be balenced properly, otherwise can cause vibrations at certain rpms, rattles, clunks. If they are out of balence, its really hard on the rear main seal as well as the bearings at the crank shaft end.
Its also worth mentioning that if your going to the ag of replacing the clutch , you might consider replacing the slave while your in there. They cost about $90.
