A6 Central Locking Problem (Cent Locks Key Fob Recode)(corrected)

Last Thursday I recoded the central locks to allow the keyfob to control the windows. I accomplished this by adding 64 to the current value (15885 I think it was). All worked well as expected, and the car was driven normally Friday and Saturday with no problems. It was then parked until yesterday (Tuesday) evening where we found the battery dead. The car was jumped and driven for a while, but was difficult to start this morning. At this point the battery doesn't even appear to be holding a charge.

I scanned for faults and found:

01482 - Motors for Central Locking
29-10 - Short to Ground-Intermittent

in the central locks controller.

I have since recoded the windows back to their original value, but the battery appears to have been drained too much while sitting those couple of days to see if this has made any difference.

Now the questions... Has anyone else seen this type of issue? I haven't had any problems with this coding on my S4.

Has anyone successfully coded a 2000 A6 2.8q to allow the key fobs to control the windows?

I find it unlikely that this unit would fail at right around the same time I performed the recode, so I'm looking for some guidance from others.

Also - if anyone could provide the correct central locking code for a 2000 A6 2.8q with Symphony (not Concert like I originally stated), anti-theft, keyless (standard config), I'd appreciate it. <-- Got it thx to Boston Driver

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here is a matrix for you with VAG codes...<edited>

from the AW Tech section. Just make sure you follow the column under Concert radio. It looks like you used the code from the Symphony system instead.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec36.shtml">AW Tech article</a></li></ul>

Thanks, but I was wrong... it is a Symphony

Excellent Matrix though - thanks a ton, I need to explore the tech section for this car a bit more...
