I have a 2000 A6 that has a water leak under the car near the firewall. I have heard there is a coupling (plastic pipe) which has an o-ring which is notorious for leaking. I also heard that there is a guy that manufactures a replacement part that is bolstered to not leak.

Not aware of the O ring thing. There are four other common leaks. The condenser drain for the A/C, the cabin air filter, the sunroof drain, and the windshield cowl. All are covered at length if you search old posts.

Found it. Under "Procedure to fix 4.2L coolant leak!"

You said water leak so I assumed rain water. You meant coolant. Disregard my previous post.
