checked the control arms and tre's also checked the caliper, loesened and retightened all the bolts, and also made sure the wheel was tightened to the hub perfectly.
its been a problem since i did the cv joint a year ago, bugs the hell out of me as when i drive over pot holes the car sounds like its falling apart on the outside

yes contaminated brake fluid is bad. I race. I get it.
but you need heat for what he described.
Where did it come from?
plus, my main point, if you continue from above, is that the "rotors rattling" is totally impossible, so something needs to rattle. Please follow the thread. this has continuity, and some degree of thought.

Just throwing my $0.02 here, did you check to see if the steering rack bolts are tight? One is under the battery compartment/tray and the other is to the right outside along the same line. I just went through this rattling and felt like something is about to drop in the middle of road. Turned out to be that bolt. I used some Loctite Red and tightened it back.

Which is why I said a competent Audi shop. One way to check for a bad caliper in ths case would have been to open te bleeder. If caliper releases it's not the caliper.

it goes away when braking and when coasting? What's left, "under acceleration" only? So it rattles when accelerating....hmmm, stress on driveline.... think think
Incidentally, my comment was not to you, it was to the guy who said locked brakes cna come from fludi contamination, in response to my post that it appeared to have been narrowed from rotors to caliper pins.....but now you say "no"

the rotors are not an issue as they have been checked, also the caliper pins have been checked also not an issue.
also, it makes the noise when driving or coasting, but the noise goes away under braking, just to clarify that.

The fluid was completely bled. Guy said it was contaminated. Cut the rotor, guy said the pads are fine, but they look crumbly and I dont think they are complete contact with the rotor at this point. Brake performance is fine right now.
I cant bring it to a Audi shop because I have zero money. I work for Big Blue, can barely make my mortgage.
The ABS light is still on, the brake light is still flashing. Tried to get the vag-com to pull codes. I had to get a USB to serial adapter to connect as I have no computer with a serial port(traditional). Connecting to any module fails, except the radio. It connects fine to the radio module, which is of zero help.
