Anyone know about how long coilpacks last on a 2.7t
I have an 02 2.7t and she seems to have lost a bit of power and I was looking replace the coil packs and plugs next weekend. I am wondering if its necessary to change the coil packs. I replaced them last year.

100k+ miles... just don't buy them from ebay
*cough* killa6 =)
|
ah...so I should start with just replacing the spark plugs then...
I will do that...and see what I get. Thinking about the NGK Iridium's gaped at .28 right?
|
idk what you prefer your gapina'ing at, but all of my NGK BKR6E's i leave at stock gap
unless yer runnin' high horsie applications or custom configuration..
|
Same here- .028 IIRC

FWIW, I believe the push down type are less robust than the earlier bolt-down type
I've already had to replace 4 on my 03 (the push down type)
|
Are they interchangeable?
|
I doubt it, but not sure - push down were for BEL motor... different valve covers, at least...
Maybe the rest is interop, but again, not sure.
I like the new sig, BTW! :) |
omg i would kill 4 strippers if these could be interchangeable lol
|
change the CPs only when they die..CEL Flashing.
Don't waste your money until. Carry a spare or two is a good idea. I've lost one at 35K, two more at 75K, another at 105K and the last at 150K.
Now at 170K and none have faulted. |
