So I am still discovering things about my Audi and while tracing the radar detectors power line I found this port. I think its a firewire? Not sure. Couple havs something to do with the stereo but thats a strange place to put something like that.

Just figured it out. It is for the Escort 9500ci radar detector. I cant for the life of me get the system to power on. No fuse taps anywhere and an add on 10 amp mini hanging below the dash but its good. I will use my power probe and put power on that wire and see if the radar will power up. I was wondering what that display was in the rear view mirror, now I know LOL. Since its a $2000 detector I am gonna fix it somehow. They modded the control panel with an outboard power switch and that may just be the issue itself.

All updated, fixed the fuse and repaired the display in the mirror. Works like a champ. Still need one more laser splitter as one of my front ones are broken and the rear one is just gone. Found the plug but no sensor.
