Default APR ecu

I have a 00 A6 2.7T, auto, ecu # 4B0 907 551 L
my friend is selling his ecu to me,
01 A6 2.7T, auto, ecu # 4B0 907 551 T
will this work on my vehicle??

Not all letter codes are interchangeable. Definitely due a thorough STFA to be sure.

Negative, box codes must match plus 2001 probaly has immobilizer and 2000 probably doesn't

Default No. The T ECU is setup for ESP and communication via CAN to the cluster.

It won't be happy in an '00.

Default No but you can take a 2000 S4 tip ecu that's chipped and plug into 2000 2.7T A6 tip. It works great

But only 2000 model ecus and can be interchanged with each other S4 to A6 and vice versa. But I read the S4 ecu's are a little more aggressive.

Reason for the share is because there are always chipped S4 ecu's for sale because they love to mod their cars
