Sounds like your Audi is not a US model. Which transmission? Also try posting on the correct forum, you are on A6. Do you have a VAG COM to read the codes? I know it is not drivable but reading the codes may tell you where the problem lies, or at least where to start. I would not go out and buy a generic code reader as most do not read all the Audi codes. So either find someone who has an Audi code reader or do research before buying one.
