Default Gas cap leaking?

Why on my A6 is the gas cap seal wet with gas every time I take it off to fill the tank? None of my other cars do that - they are all dry as a bone including my A4. I am not sure if the seal is not tight (I do notice that this cap takes very little effort to get it to click - much less than the other cars) and the pressure in the tank is taking the path of least resistance, or if there is excess pressure in the tank? This started after the Audi recall for the roll-over valve fix. I am getting an code of 16285 EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow Intermittent. I've tried sealing the cap with chain saw oil which is pretty heavy, but it was wet with gas again at next fill up.

They pinched a vent hose when they did the recall. The cap is the symptom, not the issue.

Oh you know they will never admit that. Do the hoses come off the top of the tank?
