I had emptyed the gearbox oil and had not been changed !! And about 2.1 oil was discharged !!!!
And somewhere I've read Audi
A4 6 cylinder needs 2.3 liters !!! Which one is correct in your opinion?

6sp 01E gearbox takes 2.3 liters for 4wd. 5 sp 01A 4wd takes 2.7 liters. 2wd doesn't show in my manual. Check if your transmission has 2 drain plugs, probably not on 2wd though. 4wd 01E's have 2 with the second back on the tail piece.
Technically the 01E 6 sp is supposed to be filled to 7mm below the fill hole and you check it with an allen wrench as a dipstick. 5 sp is a fill till spills out hole. Buy 3 liters. fwd may be different, but 3 should be plenty. I have a hunch most transmissions, even the 01E's are filled till spill and the 7mm measurement is ignored.

search the forum for many posts on best oil. I use Mobil 1 0w40 or 10w 40, of Castrol Syntec 5w40. Didn't we say 6.1 liters. Lubri Moly is claimed to be very good.
For transmission I use redline MT-90. It's a 75w90 GL4. don't use GL5. there are many other brands, be sure to use synthetic GL4

capacity depends on transmission. My USA manual doesn't cover your car, but 3 liters should be more than enough. Most likely, your transmission will be full when the oil drips out the fill hole in the side of the transmission. As far as I know, only the 2.7 awd cars are filed when the level is slightly below the fill hole. Try searching the web for your info.
