Default Audi of America restricting Audi Advantage scheduled service?

<big><b><font color="red">Audi Dis</font></b> </big><big><b><font color="gray">Advantage? </font></b> </big>

Dealer service advisor:

<b><i><font color="blue">"Just a heads-up, Mr.radar...You'll be due for scheduled service in February and Audi's now telling us that if a customer misses such a service by one month or 1,000 miles, Audi will not pay for it under Audi Advantage."</font> </i></b>

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/19949/img_1093.jpg">
<i><b><font color="blue"> "A week earlier, and we wouldn't have had to charge you $2,950 for the 30k service."</font></b></i>

WTF? How bad IS VW's financial dilemma?!?

I'm sensing a class action if they hold to this.

Default Heh...

They charge you more for the car so they can "include the service" and then make it difficult to get the service. Win--win....and they don't even need a gun. 8-)

I wish they'd just punt the "included" service, charge less for the car, and let owners decide for themselves where/when to service their own cars.

Cheers,

Default pirates......

these people have to be rather not bright...they think they can screw customers, change in force contracts "warranties," and laugh in the face of their customers.

well, customers can say auf wiedersehen too.

Hard to believe the dealer would make such a thing up.

Default I would question your dealer; if they can get you to pay for the AA stuff and they collect the fee

from AoA, they really boost their profit margins! I fell for this once way back in '01 with my Passat - I paid for wiper blades because the "policy was changed". I should have fought it, but I was in a hurry and figured what the hell. Sounds like your dealer is BS-ing you, IMO.

Default READ YOUR CAR MANUAL....

Soryy, I get excited when we allow others to control what we do.

Your warranty and the Audi Advnatage Service Portion is like a contract.. you bought the car with certain rules and provisions. They can't make changes that work against you. Most dealers think that what was changed in the rules for an 05 or 06 (1000 mile window) effects all other cars. It does not.

Agree, they can't make up new rules. Whatever the maintenance and warranty book say. Read your documentation.

Default Where is the logic in this?

If you are late for a service how does that effect the cost to Audi?

As others have stated; they can't just make thing up as they go along. Even if they did have this right in your warranty it is not certain that they would be able to enforce it. After all, you paid for the warranty when you bought the car.
