Hello, I bought a 2009 Audi S5 and it required me to replace the transmission since it was burned and the car would accelerate but it wouldnt move. I bought an used and replaced it but i ran the scanner on it and this code came up,18109/P1701 Transmission Control Unit: Locked. I was thinking that maybe since the TCU was inside the used transmission it requires coding. But i was thinking maybe if could replace the TCU with the one the car originally came with it would work, am i wrong? or what should i do. thanks

before replacing it, I would shift to D & R and accelerate the vehicle, but the wheels wouldn't move. Thats when a mechanic came and he said the transmission was burned, we could tell by the color and smell of the oil. After replacing it with a used transmission, One thing i noticed is that, with the old one, i could feel and hear when i would change the Gears cause the car would move slightly, but with the new one, i couldn't hear or feel any sort of changes.
