Auto Tranny reference?
 

Hi guys,

Seems like I need a new tranny for my A6 2.7T. Anyone got one, or can point me to a good place I can maybe get a reconditioned/salvaged one?

I barely drive 6-7k a year on the car, so if it doesn't have low miles on it, not a big concern. Trying to control the big hit on the wallet mostly. :-(

Grr...damn you Audi for making this part so expensive.

I would also like to give a shout out to the wonderful Audi engineers that, at least originally, claimed their auto trannies to be "lifetime sealed systems that don't need maintenance".

Thank you for helping me decide to put off tranny fluid replacement, since you know, I only had 80Kish miles on my car.

/end sarcasm

Too bad I can't practically sue someone or prove what exactly caused my tranny to die.

Supremely p*ssed and I'd have the inclination to dump the car had I not already put in some $$$ into it, like full tune-up, timing belt replacement, etc.

Whatever. Lesson learned.

I have one, just need to talk it over with myself : )). I was keeping it as insurance just in case my A6 2.7T gave up the tranny ghost.

Tip tranny from S4 30K they were/are going for $2500 for the unit on the S4 board. thats what I would ask for it.
