Default It provides tension so that the brake line won't rattle in the bracket.

It cannot be removed without disconnecting the brake line.

Default You mean the one between the line and the hose? Did you read my writeup?

Its just there to keep it tight. It totally encircles the line ( no gap). Thus, the ONLY way to remove it is to separate the brake line ( steel/alloy) from the hose ( rubber/braid). The it falls off.

Use a really good line wrench or there's some % chance you'll regret it big time. I like the SKs or the craftsman professional full polish headlocks (every word there is imporatnt).

It also acts as a strain releif - the junction is held in place so that motion does nto put torque on the rigid line.

Default Pick up this Bentley and you'll be all set...

I think my Mom's oldsmobile wagon had the same radio! <ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bentley-1988-BENTLEY-EIGHT-31K-MILES-ONE-OWNER-AMAZING-LOOK_W0QQitemZ330241266045QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 330241266045&amp;">Bentley</a></li></ul>
