Buying an A6 4.2
 

Hello All,

I'm on the hunt for an A6 4.2. Looks like it will be a 2000 or 2001 car depending on what's out there.

I'm not up on the quirks or troublesome areas on the A6. Any input as to what I should look at closely (above and beyond normal stuff)?

Some have the Audi assured 6 year or 100,000 miles.

Never thought I'd see the day that you'd have a A6.

I've had nothing but a manual transmission since 1983. Houston traffic has finally worn me down. Tip it is.

Plus, I want more room. The new S4 is sweet but, damn, not for the price.

I see where you're coming from, the A6 4.2 is a sweet ride.

Plus... add brakes, suspension, exhaust and oh... say... how about a blower. :)

I've got an 00 silver sport 4.2 with 79k on it (still has 1+ yr/21k miles of audi assured if you're interested. I'm in Denver.

Mmmm. Looking for lower mileage. :(
