Has anyone had the cats replaced?
If so, how much $ and how long did it take?
The check engine light did come on about a month ago and the catalitic converter code came up but CE light went off a few days later.
Thanks

it probably isn't the cat.
They are inside some really sturdy SS cases. More likely, there is some sort of fluid leak onto the cat that is causing it to smoke. Any problem with the cat would make smoke come out the tailpipe and greatly increase exhaust backpressure. The substrates melt around 2200F and just turn into a huge melted mess that won't let any air through.

If it is a cat check your emission systems warranty...
In some states extended coverage is mandatory. I think its 100K miles here in California (and some have said it includes the turbos).
