Center differential seal - transmission output seal SAME THING???
Probably ruffled a few feathers but I did mention in my post finding and excellent write up on the transmission output seal. I've had lots of Audis but this is my first quattro so forgive the terminology.
Is the center differential seal the same as the transmission output seal?
Pepe, searching the forum, I did find your post with the write up and mentioned finding it in my post asking about center diferential. But regarding my post, there was nothing but bernie and 4 driver arguing about the seal softener additive.

For the second (at least) time, yes, on a quattro car, the output shaft seal is after the center dif
on a FWD car, there is no center diff case, and a cap.
Technically, there is a seal between the center diff and the trans, but only on automatic transmissions, which run ATF internally, but the differentials still run normal gear oil, so there are seals to keep them apart.
So, to make a long story short, yes. The seal you want to replace is the one we've been telling you all along is the output shaft seal, which is on teh center diff housing, which is bolted to the transmission housing.

...and if you are going to do it yourself the article I linked is as good as it gets...
it is a bit easier for the A6...the exhaust still needs to be dropped. I had to replace the exhaust connectors. As you saw I have a problem with the front differential so check things well while under there...
