coolant temp sensor fault?

Recuring CEL
Fault code P1621 Engine temp signal short to ground
Can someone tell me if there are 2 different sensors?
The temp gauge works fine.
Also, where is this sensor located?

I beleive the engine coolant tempreature sensor is 2 in 1, sounds like the one for the engine management failed. On the 2.8, it's in a pipe behind the left (passenger side) head.
