i still think that dropping a replacemnt engine into the car is a bad financial move .. you may be better served putting the money into a newer car if you are famous for "subbing work"

this gen of cars are quickly only becoming viable for those who do this as a hobby and kind of enjoy the challenge and arent afraid to get their hands dirty.

OK. I don't get the "subbing work" bit, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Subbing it out, like I don't do isht, I pay someone else to. I'm not a mechanic. Besides, I don't want another car and I don't care how much Fiat Money I "waste" on my personal conveyance.

OK, but Mr. Airbag my Audi is viable for me despite the dirty hands bit.

Took car to another shop, long story. Went to replace camshaft tensioner, it was fine, had timing checked again, it was wrong. Timing service was done incorrectly, "internal marks on the cam were off in accordance to the cylinder head. Cam sprocket timing to camshaft was off & camshaft timing key-way was installed improperly. Costly headache over. Thanks audipeople, until the next episode.
