inept, it's not the speaker wires because I get sound when I play my phatbox....(or I used to when my p-box worked correct-I'm still fixing that problem)

here are the symptoms:
a. I have the Nav+ in the car (without wire harness)
b. when everything started to go south, the radio used to play out of one speaker passenger side).- now I do not get any sound with the radio
c. before my phatbox ran into problems, it would play out of both speakers without any problem.
d. whan I pull out the the HU (1/2") everything works fine.

it must be a loose wire, but I do not know which wire...does anyone have an idea where I should begin?

That will let you find which wire it is. My guess is the speaker wires themselves or the whole connector, since they are the only external audio wires when the radio is playing. (The back of the radio has a pinout guide so you can see which wire is which.)

Of course, it could be wiring internal to the HU, like the HU connector itself.

What's weird about Felk's issue is that the radio is the only function that works properly. If it was the PBox that played improperly, I'd say that the PBox wiring to the HU was the culprit...but the radio signal is precessed internal to the HU then sent out to the speakers.

The only possibility I can think of is that the antenna input is screwy and the HU is resorting to solely a mono signal(?) Other than that, I dunno.

Jeff, if you don't get anywhere, we could maybe swap PBoxes (Ewwww) some weekend to see if your HU is the problem.

I just call phatnoise...SERVER IS BACK UP AND RUNNING...I'll be Phatboxing my *** to work tommorrow.
