Is it easy to swap an RS6 rear bumper onto an S6/4.2A6 rear end? TIA

Are the bumper dimensions different? Would I have to change the underlying support/bracing?

have you even bothered to search? have you gone to the dealer and asked?
 

have you actually crawled under one and looked? Did all of Carbonlords's posts give you any reason to wonder?

Car is at the bodyshop and I am currently out of town so no way for me to check underneath...
 

I was under the impression that CL was doing the swap on his front bumper...I didn't realise that he was doing the rear only.

Body shop is saying that they can do it no problem and that all I would have to pay is amount over what insurance company will pay for. I think they may be underestimating the amount of work involved and cost, and I will be stuck with the bill.

Searched again and still only come up w/ one person who has actually done the swap and posted pics.
 

If this is so easy to do, I don't understand why only one person here has done it. :(

really - try this

1) get the parts list from your body shop

2) take it to the dealer and compare part numbers

3) if they are the same, don't buy them. If they are different, buy them

Got no plants or cats (car is a spare for when I'm in town)... but thanks anyways!
