Electric Seat will not move forward
Passenger side seat will not move forward. All other functions work. Talked to dealer, there response was, it could be 4 differnt things (swithces/motors). Looking for any advice to avoid dealer servicing my car and maxing out my credit card. Vag Com did not show any codes for this. Sucks cuz the seat is all the way forward. Thanks

I had this problem, it's an easy DIY fix
At some point you may have moved the seat all the way to the rear and the wire connected to the fore/aft motor came loose. Don't worry, it snaps right back in.
You have to get at it from the back seat. Pull apart the carpet trim that's attached to the bottom rear of the seat. On the inboard side of the seat, about half way up, you'll see a cylinder shaped motor with a rectangular like attachment point at the rear. You'll also find a wire and connector laying on the floor. Attach the connector to the motor. The connector goes on sideways.
This will take you no more than 10 minutes.

I'm having the same issue! All controls of my passenger B7 2007 Audi A4 3.2 is working except the moving foward part.
I've checked under the seat and everything seems fine, everything appears to be properly connected.
Thanks!

glennlindh---- Sounds like the motor is shot, if the dome light dims when you hit the switch there is a larger than normal current draw as if maybe the motor is locked up. The clicking is most likely the relay sending current to the motor. If you can remove the motor try putting current directly to it with jumper wires to see if it turns. Doubt that both motors went bad at the same time but difficult to say. If you energize the motor directly and it turns then the problem is in the controls ( switch and/ or relays)

Is it just me or most of those in this thread with a seat operational problem are having difficulty describing exactly what it's doing (or not doing)?
