Default Radio safe mode

Okay guys and gals I have a question for you. Last weekend I removed my radio to check the connections on the back. I took it all the way out, disconnected all the wires and took the whole deal in the house. I did find .66 cents in it so that's good. My question is why did the radio NOT go into safe mode? I put it back in and, voila, I have radio and with all my pre-sets. Now, why, if I replace the battery, will the radio go into safe mode as I have read on the forums. Seems to me like I'm doing essentially the same thing. Taking away the power as in stealing the radio. Am I just plain dense or am I missing something? My guess is that I'm just plain dense. Please edify me. Thanks.

LOL...who cares? NO ONE is going to steal those Symphony POSs.
You have a solution in search of a problem....

So it's safe to assume that the safe mode will not be a problem for me in the future? Thanks.

This happened also to me after removing Symphony II. No safe mode appeared after reinstalling, but I think this is normal for a certain amount of time maybe.
