Fading Paint
2000 a6, melange near the left rear quarter panel extending to the bumper is a panel crease (should be there). Along this crease the paint is fading. My warranty runs out in May. Do any of you all have any experience with coverage on paint?

If you mean the paint is slightly different in color on the two sides of the crease...
...that's probably because it's steel on one side of the crease, plastic on the other. Could be that the paint "fades" differently/@ different rates on the two substrates. Even when the cars were new, I remember on my '98 A6 the silver color looked different on the two different surfaces. (Maybe Audi somehow figured this out because my '01 doesn't have the issue...then again, the paint's a different color, so what do I know?!?

The plastic portions of the bumpers can appear very different...
...from the metal panels that they are adjacent to.
See some of the pictures <a href="http://www.digitalfields.com/s6/s6cemeteryshots/">here</a> (particularly <a href="http://www.digitalfields.com/s6/s6cemeteryshots/source/01.html">#1</a>, and <a href="http://www.digitalfields.com/s6/s6cemeteryshots/source/09.html">#9</a>). In other cases (most of the time...see <a href="http://www.digitalfields.com/s6/s6cemeteryshots/source/05.html">#5</a>) there is no discernable difference...it's all in the lighting.
I remember some people getting new bumper fascias because of pitting, but don't recall any fading issues. I would think that it would be something to pursue if it actually is fading...of course you'd want to get going on any warranty issues <i>now</i>, not in May. Have you tried the <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/search/">search</a> feature here for further info?
BTW, I vote your sig pic: best ever, it is so cool. Do you have a high res version? It would make a great desktop picture!

to fade just "along a crease" seems perhaps like cumulative buffing damage.
However, Audi does seem responsive to genuine problems with paint longevity. The dealer probably has to set up an appointment with a regional rep, if they think your case warrants it. So, start before the warranty ends! ;^)

Off to Classic in Orlando I go...
Thanks for the suggestions, I really is fadeded down to a darker color, just along the crease. I will take it to Classic in Orlando and have them look at it. Have no experience with them. Hopefully they will be responsive.
