Default Farewell to the C5 Forum

This will be my last post on the C5 forum. Sadly, another case of a distracted driver causing a completely avoidable frontal impact. Resulting in my 2000 A6 Avant being totaled. The damage itself is not too extreme. And the car is (was) in otherwise immaculate condition. But given its age, and mileage (192,000) my insurance company will no doubt be totalling it. I am the original owner. Lots of great service over 19 years. Vacations. Trips to college. It had to be the most practical all-around car I have owned. A sad ending. Thanks for all the advice in maintaining her over the past 19 years. I will be staying in the Audi family, moving over to the Q5 Forum, I had the foresight to acquire a Q5 earlier this year. Take care everyone.

Yes, they do.. It was a daily driver for me. But I do have other Audi's. At 192k Miles it was tight, solid. I told the insurance adjuster I would not hesitate to drive it cross country.
Thanks for the response.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. I sympathize. :-/

Might you have the option of buying it back and fixing it privately? I gather that some insurance companies allow that. Or heck, maybe I'd buy it from you if you wanna sell it. I can always use one more C5 yet.
