Default Flooded TCM, will it move?

Im looking at grabbing a 2002 A6 with a wet TCM, at what i believe to be a good price. The owner says it does not move. He had it towed to Audi, and they diagnosed the TCM failure and mentioned a clogged roof drain. Im reasonable confident ill be able to repair the TCM as i repair water damaged electronics daily. Just trying to figure out how to get it to the house. Hoping for a limp mode.

Is there any process to getting one with a bad TCM to move? It is 2 miles from my home, so if i could limp it over and avoid a tow it would be preferable.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's front wheel drive you can probably tow it using a wheel dolly. Load it onto a trailer and haul it if it's a Quattro. Local rental on a U Haul car trailer is around $75 per day. Or get a tow truck to relocate it. Flat tow using tow rope, strap, or chain NOT recommended. Agree with george. You can try to get it to move but chances are it won't move under its own power.

ok maybe against my better judgment i bought the thing. Went there, the guy said it only moves and reverse and would need a tow. i disconnected the TCM and was able to limp it home in a forward gear.

TCM is badly damaged with visible charred mosfets. The guy actually had a replacement one (eBay) with all numbers matching. Opened it up, looks pristine. Installed, cleared codes, seems to no longer be in limp mode but no reverse and oddly it kinda of tries to move forward a little bit in park and neutral if i hit the gas. tiptronic does not want to select gears at all. Dash indicator shows 1 2 3 4 but moving through them is not possible.

When selecting reverse it will clunk into gear, but movement is not possible.

Codes below. I see nothing relevant. Being that he was moving it around his property in reverse, im hopeful that it is not a physical failure.

Any benefit in moving the eeprom from the old to the new? I can easily do this. As well as any other component on the board if need be.

Probably a parts car at this point.

Tiptronic transmissions are the main reason that I only buy 6 speed manuals.
