19" wheels on Audi A6 S-Line
Hi, I recently put 19" wheels on my Audi. The tires are
BF Goodrich G-Force T/A size 235/35Z/R19
The tires are scraping against the wheel wall and are ruining the tires. I've asked around and been told that those tires are not meant of this car. There is a spacer in there to move away from the brakes, but thats it.
Do I have any other options? I purchased new VMR Rims and tires and now there scraping so much that it's ruining the tires. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks George. I was more curious to know if it's possible to run 19" tires on an 2004 Audi A6 S-Line. Or if anyone here has.
You're right, I should've done the research before I purchased. Was misled by someone.
Thanks

235/45-R17 will fit on an A6..that's 25.3" tire diameter.
235/35-R19 is about 25.5" diameter and should fit with appropriate height adjustment and offset. Height can be set with adjustable coilovers…offset is generally a function of wheel construction and/or spacers. I don't like spacers; the wheel itself should have the correct offset (which sets where the rim goes inny/outy to clear suspension and wheel well) and correct spider concave construction inboard to clear the caliper.
The spacer is enabling the wheel to clear your calipers, but it is putting the tire too far out and hitting the wheel well. You can raise the car or use a thinner spacer as long as the wheel clears the calipers or you could also go to a different caliper that doesn't stick so far out.

"Height can be set with adjustable coil overs"
sorry, I'm pretty new to this. Is this easy to do? Does it mean messing with the shocks?
I want to try and salvage what I have, they keep rubbing and it's ruining the tires. I'm hoping I can raise them without too much damage to the car or costing a boat load.
Thanks

Yep. Adjustable coilovers
But you would be better off getting the right wheels.
Offset 32mm. Backspace 5.94"
Tirerack she's tem for about $800 for 4.
