Front License Plate Mount

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/114518/audi_-_front_license_plate_mount.jpg"></center><p>Does anyone know where i can locate a front license plate mount precisely like the one in this pic?

Have tried many an audi part dealer, but no such luck thus far.

Also, i posted in Classifieds/Wanted, but based on lack of response and time requirements, felt the forum may yield results.

Willing to pay up to $65 including shipping.
Thank you.

just leave the front plate off.

you'll get a ticket for that in Frisco

does that mount use magnets to affix the plate or magnets to affix the bracket to the bumper?

I would not use magnets to affix a front plate for fear of losing the plate after going over a hard bump.

if you use the right rare-earth magnets there is no way the plate will fall off.

I knew I'd seen a post dealing with this topic, so I searched for you: this looks exactly like

what you want:

Note: this mod is from a different model Audi (specifically, a B7 A4) - so you'll need to figure out how to make it work on the C5. Perhaps you can glue the magnets behind the bumper cover?

Let us know how it goes - you could even post pics and a "how-to-do".<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/msgs/4586.phtml">Mount your plate-with Magnets!</a></li></ul>
