H-sport installation costs (front+back) ~$190? Dual exhaust must be partly dropped, I'm told.

I'm still questioning weather or not to instal them now.
My car is quiet and perfect so far. I'd hate to have to go through what LM is going through and might decide to sell the H-Sports, even though I have an install schedueled Wednesday.
I had a bad time with rattling exhausts on my former A6 which left me a few hundred dollars lost as AA does not cover exhausts and replacing the exhaust hangars for $150, plus my $50 deductable did jack.
The hollow knocking noise never went away. The dealership quoted $800 for a new exhaust, plus labor, yeah right!
Sorry to hear LM, anyone else have this issue or any others? I'm satisfied enough not to put them on so it's a matter of what I read in the coming days which might determine how I am going to proceed.
The H-Sports might become the S6 grilles if reviews are not faveroable.
We'll see......

Ditto...
I haven't actually opened my H-Sport box yet other than to peek inside and make sure they didn't ship me a load of rocks.
I did, however, download and read the instructions from H-Sport's site. I remember looking at the part about the tube of grease and the bushings and thought "Yeah, I've been around enough mechanics to bet that doesn't happen all that often."
Lemme turn on my Super Deductive powers here...
LM -- given your earlier description of the first installation being with wheels unsupported. Maybe there was grease, maybe not. If not, it makes sense that it would take a few weeks for it to start squeaking.
Fast forward to the change to firm setting... No new grease tube, disassemble mounts/bushings, reinstall.
Columbo, out.

I think that there are grease fittings on the bushings...I'll have to check it out, as that would be
the absolute easiest thing to fix...thanks for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately, I had to relinquish the car to my better half today, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. Hmmmm...which box is that grease gun in?......

Stoney -- serious about coordinating the installation...
Potential $ savings is a minor consideration, although it couldn't hurt.
Figure it would be a way to for us to both be sure it's done right, receive the benefit of installer doing it a few times, etc.
Just a thought. Anytime after 12/16. My car goes into the dealer Monday the 15th -- would like it to be in stock form for that.

If you hear wierd noises from rear, do NOT continue to drive car....

Likely they have installed bar incorrectly and it will chew up your "bones" (link). The car should have been supported by the wheels (on ramp, or lift that you drive on to) when installing sway bars. If they lift the car by the under carriage and leave the wheels unsupported, the suspension pivots toward the center of the car and decreases the distance between the two wheels. Installer then can only install it incorrectly because of the distance. Bar goes on the inside of "bone" nearest center of vehicle, SEE PICTURE If they installed bar on other side of "bone" it will make noise and chew it up.

Let me know if you guys need any help...
SFG Performance is able to install sway bars real easily. We are doing a suspension install this weekend in Fremont (Sat morn). On A4/S4 where there are subframe support brackets..the install cost is a bit more..but on an A6 2.8-4.2/S6 it is all pretty standard in terms of installation.
