Greeting to everyone,

It is my hope all is in great health and strength, I have had tremendous support in the past from this thread while trying to sort through my Audi issue. For the record its a 2003 Audi A6 2.7 turbo. Here is my first and foremost issue, I got a reading 17866 Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2, could anyone provide a link for an online supplier I have search online and cannot seem to find one. Also I have gotten readings 17831 and 17819 referring to secondary air system Bank 1 and 2, from you all experiences what is normally the common problem as the reading indicates in could be one of three causes. Thank in advance for any and all reply.

For the secondary air injection system, having both codes might mean a bad secondary air injection pump or it might be two bad combi valves.

Is the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Sensor Deletes the same as the sensor. Forgive me for asking if the answer is obvious, I am seeking all knowledge I possibly can. Is it possible to provide a link for the exact air inject pump and the combi valves. Would I need one pump or two?

No, the EGT Deletes are not the same as the sensor. They would simulate the presence of a good EGT sensor for your car. They are quite a bit cheaper than replacing the sensors themselves, which can cost $600 per sensor (you have two.)

There is only one air pump, which feeds two combi valves.
