Default Here's another solution

This is what I'd likely do:

Fill the center bar area and carry the seamless fill to the bumpers (covering over the grille lines) using flexible bumper filler.

Make a 'cut' above and below in the grille to 'intention' the lines, and body color paint the chrome on the grille surround and the new 'flush' center section.

I would leave the lower chrome strips below the lights as they further define the 'V' shape of the frontal lines, especially given the detoning of the lines with the grille area mods.

Most people expect chrome on a luxury car these days:-( Sports models are different.

somehow a 'brushed' version of the design wouldn't really look right...
