Key would not come out of the ignition at lunch. Futzed with the gearshift (tip) to see if the lockout was the problem. No dice. Drove back to office. Key came out normally.

Ugh.

Interesting. Never seen that before.

Went to park and had it in tip, in one-svelt-move I put it in park. Apparently, it's possible to get it up there (no brute force required) without getting into the proper PRN432 gate. If it's not in the gate, the key won't come out. It was a bit more difficult to get it back down to the tip gate, but once there I got it back up to P with a deliberate sideways motion into the main gate & up.
