Default That doesn't mean anything, the battery could still do it.

My last Optima Dry Cell died in 4 days! What a POS, quality my a$$! I'm just making my best edjucated guess. If it were me I'd throw another battery in there just to test it out. Swap the battery out of another car, just for the night. You never know. I understand it's a factory system as well, that's why I noted Nissan. Nissan uses the same immobilizer system as our Audi's do so that's why I compared.

Isn't there a way to tell with vag-com what is triggering the alarm?

Default Does your car have the interior monitor disable switch...

like my 2000 4.2 does on the driver's door jamb. If so, try pushing that each tine you exit and see if it then stays quiet. If so, look for an issue with the interior monitoring loop nonetheless. You can turn the sensitivity of that down with VAG COM.

even when I push the diable switch the alarm sounds off. VAG COM no faults always
