Great!!!! Thinking back there are probably no sensors that activate based on panel position. The panel will produce current all the time based on solar exposure. The voltage would go nowhere until a load was present to complete the circuit. It only blows when in the closed position or the tilt up at the rear position. The spring loaded contacts would make contact at those times. On a footnote: if the blower is becoming noisy, it is probably about to die on you. If it just up and dies it should be the motor. If it is gradual failure then it could be the resistor/ control module for the motor. You can maybe buy some time by blowing the brush debris from the motor. I have a post on here about that, with some pictures. Also hold on to that manual. It will come in handy in the future!
