How to replace rear parking aid sensors?

I remember replacing one before, but forgot what I did and don't want to break any plastic clips or anything trying to figure it out.

My car is a 2002 A6 and this time it's the rear-left one that is giving me an error code.

Hopefully someone has or can point me to some instructions on how to remove and replace the sensor.

Are you sure it is a failed sensor and not something with the wiring?

The VAG error code says it's the sensor. A couple of years ago I got the same error and a new sensor fixed the issue. I guess it could be the wiring, but I hope not since I imagine that would be harder to diagnose and fix.

So ... any tips on how to remove the existing sensor?
