Identify Mystery parts from 2.7T
Just replaced the throttle body boot and the diverter values on a 2.7T, once I finally got it all back together I heard the 2 parts, in the picture below, fall out. Does anyone know what they are, what they are for, where they belong, and if they are necessary? Car drives with out them. I suspect they hold some cable, given the groove on the side, but I don't know.
The number on the part is "500-076 PA 6.6 KEB"
Does anyone know what these are? Thanks.

The two are used to hold the hard plastic intake pressure lines which come from the intercoolers to the throttle control module. The plastic pressure lines are visible from above with just the hood open. They are visible in this photo by RMcQ in his 2005 2.7T Timing Belt Replacement tech article. The part you have has a green smudge of paint on it. Look for a similar color green dot on the part in the upper right quadrant of RMcQ's photo.
The plastic intake pressure line has a edge along its lower side which fits into the groove on the part you have. You'll note that one of your parts has a broken tab which has prevented it from holding firm in the holes it is supposed to fit.
Don't lose the parts as the dealers can't get these as replacement items.

Thanks. I actually noticed that both of the pieces have a broken tab, so one side won't hold. Great to know where they go and what they hold. Not so good to hear that I can't get replacements. I'll bring them to the dealer and see what they suggest. I suppose its important to have the intake pressure line secured. Maybe I can hold the end the part to car with something else to replace the broken tab.

So there is a part number aside from the PA 6.6?

Just for grins, that isn't a valid VAG part number.

Yes, definitely not a VAG part number -- but quite clearly an Audi part as evidenced in the additional picture below.
I think this is something I will have to bring to the parts desk and show them. I don't think I will be able to know what it is based on a description and the numbers on it.
