5 Attachment(s)
2004 a6 2.7 5 speed auto
Did the timing belt
replaced the motor mounts
replaced the trans mounts
was gonna put 3' downpipes however i have the bel motor, no go. made piggies
car is in the service position at this point as i dont want to take the damn thing apart again to install said missing pieces. also did the gaskets on the valve covers and everything that went with those, spark plugs etc etc.
everything looks like its not missing, I'm under the car with a flash light for 2 hours looking in every direction.
First bolt is SBT 8.8 13 mm head
second is same as trans plug, but those are in there. 8 mm shallow plug.
looked on vagcat.com called the dealer, searched on audi 2.7 facebook, no one has any ideas. someone please tell me where these go. other wise they are going in the pile of useless crap i already pulled off this car.
the help is appreciated.

I think someone has been sneaking into your garage and adding extra parts to your pile, just to drive you nuts.

Do you have an ex-wife?

ROFL!!!!

I see keys for a Ford (beater alert), Concrete. A desk. A bolt which probably keeps everything from squeaking, and a cap for my ex wife's urn.

That plug looks like the plug for crank lock pin hole.

You'll know soon enough when something runs dry and something else falls off. On the other hand it could just be 3 of the many parts all manufacturers include that have no function. I have a box full of those.

that one is in there, I'm searching around for other hole locations because i think that i mistakenly took that one out thinking the same thing, when searching for the crank pin

Is it one of the bolts for one of the transmission mounts? Looks awfully close to this one in the picture (that is an aftermarket replacement)...

just re did the trans mounts because i missed the top hole in the motor through the mounts, and those came with new bolts, the bot in question is alot smaller. and my old ones were oil filled, no holes for them. arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking that it goes in something on the front, maybe a retaining bolt. it could be from something i already ripped off. I always put the bolt in the location it came from so I don't have these problems, however my father took the sub frame off(didn't have time for it at the time) so I had some extras there too but i found where all those went, now these are the last 2. I'm gonna fill it up and see what leaks, hopefully nothing but at least I'll know where.

Not so! His bolt in Q is a shoulder bolt.
