Get an inner boot kit from ECStuning.com and put it back together.

You have to remove the triple roller from the axle to get the new boot and clamp on the axle on the small diameter

You might need tř get a cv joint band crimping tool, they're maybe $15.

Takes maybe an hour. joint boot kit comes with a new bolt but you can probably use the old one again once.
The Bentley manual states to NOT re-use the spindle bolt. It is a stretch type bolt, good for only one use.

How do you get the inner joint off the axle?

Your replying to old threads and I'd doubt that the original poster will reply,
best to start a new thread with your problem.

For the next person, the tripod casing is hammered off of tripod , the 3 bearings will actually slide off with enough force.

Not so, it should come out easily. The tripod itself is held on the axle with a cir clip.

Maybe my terminology is not accurate, the tripod being the three rollers and housings attached to the axle, and the casing being the outer shell that attaches to the transmission. In my case the outer part must be hammered off of the three rollers, they are a very tight fit as they exit the casing.

A couple of my roller bearings popped off as well, I had to tap them back on.

Default If it's a 3300 type casing it takes a special tool and a slide hammer.

All I can say is on my two 4.2A6 and S6 cars the rollers came out of the outer casing easily…see the pick way below 9-07-2011. If the transmission side of the casing is closed (as it was on mine) then the tripod HAS to come out the open side…and it should not have to be hammered out or something damaged the case…consider replacing it. If the transmission side is open, then push the tripod out the bottom, remove the circlip and then the tripod and pull the axel out. My bentley shows one casing with a transmission-side open but as seen in my pic below, the 4.2 (at least mine) is closed on the transmission end of the axle.
