Metronet, I'll give them a shout......but two other places said no....

The component which deals with interior lighting (dimming) is fried and there is a short to ground as a result. So the fuse to it blows and the results is that Volt Meter does not work, the clock does not recall the time, "Fuse" displays over the odometer and a Giant Yellow Battery shows in the middle display.
The speedometer, tach, oil temp, gas gauge, etc all work fine. It's odd.

Is that immobilizer thing programmable with VAGCOM????? That web page has Immobilizer delete service listed and the image they use is the VCDS software???

I have had VAGCOM for 17 years.....LOL....

I think that it's a read only function on VCDS, so when they have deleted immo, your VCDS will show immo deleted. I would ask them to verify and also make sure the "key" warning on the cluster doesn't stay lit so you can avoid black tape!

Not 100% sure, but I believe that if you have the SKC for both clusters, you can use VCDS to code the new cluster to your car. VCDS won't give you the SKC's, but there are other apps that can. Dealer can do this or perhaps good indy speed shop that's familiar with flashing. Maybe even a good locksmith.
