Default Intermittent Rotational Noise (Scrape, squeak)

I have a 2004 2.7 with 171,000 miles. Great car. Recently had both water pumps, timing belt, and intake seal done. All eight front and rear control arms are new. Recently heard a strange rotational scraping, squeal like noise. Thought it may have been belt-related but the noise instantly goes away when I hit the brakes. Thinking it may be brake-related. Pads look good. Probably going to bring it in and have it checked out car seems to drive normally. The noise is intermittent and happens fairly infrequently. Wondering if anyone may have experienced this?

Check for a piece of debris, stone, gravel, etc between stone guard and rotor. (That's the thin sheet metal plate on the back side of the rotor) If pads are worn down could be the tell-tale tab(s) on the pads.
