Lost clip to air filter housing
 

I accidentally dropped my the top left (top as in closest to the windshield) clip and it never hit the ground, I can't seem to feel around for it, where could it be and would it be a dumb idea to just drive it to get it loose? I've looked around in my bently manual to see what it may have dropped into/got stuck on but I'm not very familiar with my engine as I'd like to be right now.

I have a 00 2.7t

Get a telescoping pick up magnet from the car parts store and poke aroind. You may get lucky.

What is right under next to the air filter housing? what could it get caught into? I dropped the clip that is closest to the passenger side, what is right under that?

Have you tried removing the airbox?

2.7t engine bay is very cramped. First I would remove belly pan and see if it is lying right there (chances are it is).

Secondly I would use magnetic pick/wand and see if I can get lucky.

Thirdly... disassembly. Remove airbox and look around.
