Who has this catback? I honestly don't care about mufflers, tips, or the great job the muffler shop did with your custom job. If I wanted to go that route, it would have already happened. Did anyone buy this system from magnaflow? It looks really good for the money. Better than the APR, MTM, milltek etc. anyway. I didn't think that magnaflow made a full catback for our cars, but apparently they do. I'm just trying to find a couple of people who got one to see how they like it. (Posted on other forums for purposes of finding an answer).

I have a 1999 avant 2.8L and had to replace both side cats a year or two ago. I bought magnaflow's bolt-on replacement for less than 1/2 of the factory replacement cost. The Check Engine Light was coming on sporadically after the install, but I found out with some more research that there are bung extenders that pull the O-2 sensor out of the exhaust a little and eliminates the CEL. Good fit, bolted directly on. Was originally very worried about the CEL, but hasn't been an issue since adding the extenders. In my case, there seems to be no change in sound or performance and I still have the factory mufflers.

I just rebuild a 98 A4 with the 2.8 for a guy who had the magnaflow rear muffler, really sounded great for the sporty A4, I really liked it, a nice deep tone but don't think it would be right on a A6, probably just a tad too much in my opinion.
he said he had the complete system on his other A4 and it was even louder Too loud. so I would stay away from the whole system myself.
