MIN OIL LIGHT

Was driving monday and the light for MIN OIL came on saying that it was on min oil level. so I put a small bottle in it and scheduled an oil change for the afternoon, went in for the oil change and all was set and the guy says all is fine. Today tuesday is the first day I am driving it for a long distance again and the same light came on. So i had a little left in that bottle put it in and drove to school. no light came on so far but I am wondering why it came on twice in two days especially after an oil change.

Sitting in my three hour class right now, so I am checking to see if there is an oil leak under the car. ill let you know about that later on tonight...

any suggestions?

You keep saying you put in oil in response to the light. What does the dipstick say?

2nd, first check dipstick, then check for oil leaks.

it has no marking of oil on it at all. so hence me thinking about a leak....

yep checked the dip stick... initial thought was that it might just be empty but dip stick actually

hence me thinking about leaking somewhere right now..

there couldnt be a possibility for a software ecu unit problem...
its just annoying with the error poping up on the screen...

I have no idea what you are asking...

Check for oil leaks, and report back what you find. There has to be a leak somewhere...

Yikes...no oil on dipstick....VERY LOW oil in crankcase..oil going somewhere!!

Agree with ILoveMyS4(Jacob)...ecu/electronics don't appear to be issue. Lack of oil is.

Fill the crankcase with oil to the max mark on dipstick.

Start engine, look for oil leak.

There is no way a tiny leak is going to empty that crankcase that soon...sounds like a major oil leak.
