More on the Ipod front...has anyone heard of/used this??
It seems like this company has found a way to do the ipod truck hardwiring such that you can use the stereo controls to change the ipod. Looks great...anyone seen or used one yet??
Thanks for any info. Regards, Chris<ul><li><a href="http://www.ihavetohave.it/acatalog/ICE-Link_Audi.html">http://www.ihavetohave.it/acatalog/ICE-Link_Audi.html</a</li></ul> |

I haven't, but you better believe I'll be watching this! Wouldn't it be great if the ID3 tags could be displayed in the HUD as well as on the head unit?

Sounds almost too good to be true. I also will be looking to see how it
performs in real installations. Also does it matter if the iPod is Windows or Apple format?
Also whay is involved in an installation. There are no pictures or detailed information available. I have to remain just a bit sceptical given the amount of trouble Audi has in giving us a functional cell phone set up. |
All I-Pods work with both Mac and PC

XXX - Try again. They are formated seperate for Mac or PC.
They are only cross compatible as FireWire (IEEE 1394) Hard Drives but the iPod software and mp3 functions are specific to the Opperating System, Mac OR PC but not both in one.

Not any more--new models are all the same
This was true for the models they were selling until about 4/03. Now it's a single model. And they just started packaging iTunes for windows with recent sales (free download anyway), so there's no longer a Mac/PC model

3 cheers for the new iPod's!!! Guess I should upgrade ;)
