Most annoying thing ever...
Drivers side door sensor is broken, or on its way to being broken, and now decides that it thinks the door is open once a while now..
This means I either get the steady "chime" or the intermittent "chime" depending on if the lights are on or not. It also will start to go off randomly if I hit a rut in the road or some lane dividers on the highway. Once that happens I have to wait the one minute (or two minutes with the lights on) before it times itself out but the interior lights still remain on.
I hear that the switch itself is integrated into the actual door latch mechanism. Any quick fix for this or do I have to pony up the $300 or $400 to take it to the dealer and have it fixed? Anyone have a parts breakdown on the door or the latch itself?

2nd & 3rd most annoying things: reposting yourself and not acknowledging prior answers.
There is no parts breakdown for the latch because it's only sold as a unit.
Driver's side is 4B1 837 015 H. About $200.
The rest of the linked thread tells you how to disassemble.\

https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/535927.phtml</a
