New buyer poll

I own (15 yrs.) and sell (4 yrs.) Audis. Why does it seem that Audi buyers take so lomg to decide and purchase than BMW or M-Benz owners? Sometimes I think I can actually see fear in their eyes. Any thoughts?

Weak salesman. ;-)

Not fear, but rather we take time

in doing research. No spur of the moment buy.

Would you have to do as much research if you were considering the others? If not, why?

It's all good, just joking.

Because a bunch of rich people go out and buy bimmer and benz....

and people who buy audis care about what they are buying. I'm more concerned about how my car performs, not whether or not I more bells and whistles that the guy next to me at the traffic light

I sold them for years too. Average buyer takes 2 weeks to 4 months (+order sometimes ! )

Engineers and IT people. They research things to death. Rarely impulsive.

Your question doesn't really make sense

you don't say that you've ever sold anything but Audi, so what are your basing your comparisons on? Watercooler chat?

I don't know anyone who buys ANY brand of car quickly these days, there are too many choices and the stakes are pretty high.
