Default New Car delivery

In California the dealers do not apply their delership name in any way to the car body? Do the other states dealers apply decals and sometimes glue raised letter IDs on the trunk lid?

Default You're generalizing a bit

perhaps you mean almost all dealers in So Cal, but some still do.

It's much more common in other parts of the country. Some of them even drill holes in the trunklid to do it! Zounds!

My dealer was kind enough to ask me and did not blink when I declined.

Tell them not to. The first time I told the salesman not to he looked at me like I was asking for his first-born. I asked him for some tape and I proceeded to stick my business card on the trunk of his demo. He got the message. They also don't think it is funny when you tell them you want a 5k break on the price for the advertising space on your car.

Regardless, they are pretty easy to remove if you don't want to ask the dealer not to do it.
