Default New seats, what to do...

The drivers seat cushion in my '04 2.7T has a nice big tear, and I'm trying to decide what I want to do. I've seen used seat bottoms on eBay from parted out cars which is presumably the cheapest way to go, but I'm not crazy about that idea.

Does Audi sell just the bottom cushion part of the seat, and does anyone know what that might cost from a dealer?

Since I'm going to replace at least part of the seat anyway, my next thought was to upgrade it a bit. My dad has an Allroad, and the leather in that (silk Nappa?) is much higher quality than mine and I love the feel of it. The frame, motors, heating element etc of my drivers seat are all fine, but I was thinking about replacing the bottom, back, and headrest with the upgraded stuff from the V8 and Allroad. Can that be done, and what would it set me back?

RS6 Recaros would be wonderful of course, but dropping $3500+ is not an option. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas like dropping in D3 A8 seats (doable?) I'd love to hear them.

Your fastest/quickest solution is to take the car to an auto upholstery shop and have them rebuild the seat bottom. Will take maybe a day (give them a few days to get the material) or two once they get the material and the car in the shop.

I've got a buddy in CO with 5 sets of sport seats. Maybe if you asked him nicely, he'd sell you a set. They are all in excellent shape, somehow.

Do you know what colors he has? My interior is gray, which makes finding seats harder.
