btw, my $50 oil change charged $150 on my Visa..thanks for nothing to begin...

anyway, I asked about a noticable oil drip and then a coolant warning light on startup...

quoted:

-new oil drain plug
-new 'upper oil pan gasket' ?!
-new coolant pipe located under intake
-new coolant reservoir
-new secondary coolant pump (was already replaced under warranty at $38K, approx: 60K miles ago)
-4 new tires

Surprisingly, they didn't tell me I needed a new right CAT for $1,700
Or the usual "your tie rods are worn, recommend replacing"
Or need new rotors....

What an odd car...never left a dealer w/out a quote for over $2K of work! Since it's got 98,380 miles, it's a 2000, and it's paid for and not worth much at this point...I think I'll just keep topping off the oil and coolant for a while!

maybe replacing the DRAIN PLUG will reduce my oil leakage by 50% think!

handle, but have the car serviced. You're on that slippery slope when you have so many problems, that it just overwhelms you. It's the beginning of the end. I could never choose not to fix a problem -
